Description
English: NAVAL BASE KITSAP-BREMERTON, Wash. (July 25, 2016) – Lt. Cmdr. Evan J. LaFrance receives a Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medal from Adm. Bill Moran, Vice Chief of Naval Operations, on the flight deck of USS Nimitz (CVN 68) for responding to an electrical shock victim on the pier. LaFrance directed and administered personnel and first aid on the scene while remaining on scene to direct traffic and crowd control. Nimitz is currently undergoing an extended planned incremental maintenance availability at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility where the ship is receiving scheduled maintenance and upgrades.
