Description
English: 170120-N-XT273-1152 VILLEFRANCHE SUR MER, France (Jan. 20, 2017) Commander, U.S. 6th Fleet, Vice Adm. Christopher Grady delivers remarks during a reception aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) in Villefranche sur Mer, France to enhance U.S.-France relations and participate in commemorative events honoring 50th anniversary of the years during the 1950's and 1960's during which the U.S. 6th Fleet was based in Villefranche sur Mer, France. U.S. 6th Fleet, headquartered in Naples, Italy, conducts the full spectrum of joint and naval operations, often in concert with joint, allied and interagency partners, in order to advance U.S. national interests and security and stability in Europe and Africa.
