B6183), left Point Cook, VIC on 16 November 1919 and arrived in Darwin, NT on 12 December 1919. Covering 2,500 miles in 46 flying hours, they surveyed the route for competitors of the first England to Australia Air Race. Shown, Capt Wrigley getting into the rear cockpit of the aircraft, watched by local inhabitants at a bush airstrip. Donated by Fred Morton. |
