Op de kaart zijn diverse aantekeningen in het Frans, zoals bij 2 Firando staat aangegeven dat dat de eerste plaats was waar de Hollanders verbleven, bij 4 staat Kisma, een afwijkende naam voor Deshima.

Er zijn enkele Japanse en Nederlandse schepen afgebeeld.
