English: A Georgian soldier assigned to the 33rd Battalion patrols in a simulated village as part of a Georgian mission rehearsal exercise (MRE) in Hohenfels, Germany, Feb. 14, 2013, during Black Sea Rotational Force 13. Georgian MRE is a combined training exercise in which U.S. and Georgian soldiers practice counterinsurgency, stability and transportation operations in preparation for a deployment to Afghanistan in support of NATO. Black Sea Rotational Force is an annual multilateral security cooperation activity between the U.S. Marine Corps and partner nations in the Black Sea, Balkan and Caucasus regions designed to enhance participants collective professional military capacity, promote regional stability and build enduring relationships with partner nations. |
