W.of these again are the Post Officeand Telegraph Office, while belowthe main road, called the Mall, arethe District Courts, and westward ofthem large blocks of Governmentof India offices, including those ofthe Army Headquarters, near therailway terminus. Further on againon a rocky summit are large newoffices of the Government of India,below which on the S. side is a linkbetween the Mall and the TongaRoad, and on the N. side are the pathsleading to Annandale (see p. 219.)Half a mile further W. again isPeterhoff Hill, on which the oldGovernment House stood, with theoffice of the Foreign Departmentof the Government of India at itsbase.
