Summary[edit]

Description An Afghan instructor explains how to remove the barrel from an M9 Berretta to police recruits during a handgun safety course at the Regional Police Training Center in Mether Lam, Lagman Province, Afghanistan. The recruits learned the parts of the gun, how to take them apart and clean them and how to properly use and fire the gun. The Police recruit course takes five weeks and prepares recruits for the basic functions they will need to be familiar with to do their job. The Mether Lam RTC is scheduled to be one of the first training centers in Afghanistan to transition to be fully operational without coalition assistance.
