Deutsch: Bildseite der im Lichtdruck vervielfältigten Aufnahme eines nicht genannten - anonymen - Fotografen der Ansichtskarte mit der fortlaufenden Nummer 210, untertitelt

„Hannover. Probsteikirche ‚St. Clemens.‘“

Die zugrunde liegende und um das Jahr 1900 aufgenommene Fotografie gewährt von der damaligen Bäckerstraße der Calenberger Neustadt einen Durchblick durch das mit der damaligen Hausnummer 30 versehene, geöffnete Eingangstor zum Hof der katholischen Kirchengemeinde von St. Clemens.

Im Vordergrund links spielen Kinder vor dem Eingangstor, eines davon sitzt in einem hölzernen Kinderwagen. Auch auf den Stufen zur Kirche sitzen Kinder, die den Fotografen bei seiner Arbeit beobachten, mit Hüten und Schürzen oder dem für Knaben der Zeit des Deutschen Kaiserreichs typischen Matrosenanzug. Links von der Kirche ist - neben einem schmalen Zugang - eine der hannoverschen Höheren Töchterschulen zu sehen; das damalige Gebäude des später vom Bischöflichen Generalvikariat zu Hildesheim unterhaltenen katholischen Mädchenschule: Das St. Ursula-Oberlyzeum unter der ehemaligen Adresse Clemenstraße 1-3.

Das zur Zeit des Kurfürstentums Hannover ab 1712 auf Inititative von Agostino Steffani durch Tommaso Giusti erbaute barocke Kirchengebäude ist hier noch ohne Kirchturm beziehungsweise Kuppel zu sehen.

Im Hintergrund rechts ist an der Straße Am Kanonenwalle das Eckgebäude unter der damaligen Adresse Goethestraße 35 zu erkennen.
Handschriftlich sandten - oben links auf der Ansichtskarte zu lesen - "Ruddolf Schiele und Frau" einen Gruß, während am Fuß der Ansichtskarte "Emil und Sophie" am 5. November 1904 herzliche Grüße sandten an das auf dem Revers näher bezeichnete
