Notes
  • Significance: An example of the Streamline Moderne adapted to the planning principles of the Craftsman Bungalow court. The use of brick rather than the expected stucco wall surface hints at a blending of the Moderne image with the more traditional Southern California Spanish Colonial revival. The entrances to the separate units are treated independently, with an exoticism more frequently associated with the ZigZag Moderne. Arthur Heineman, the architect, is traditionally credited with the design of the 1st bungalow court.
  • Survey number: HABS CA-2032
