Notes
  • Significance: The S.C. Route 391 bridge is identified as Saluda 3 in the Department's Metal Truss Highway Bridge Inventory and is one of 148 bridges of this type remaining in the State. Its significance is derived from its architectural design and integrity of the structure in addition to its location marking the site of Bates Ferry. It was determined eligible for the National Register January 28, 1983.
