Summary[edit]

Description
English: Kodiak, AK (Oct. 19)-- AMT2 Tom Rogers of Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak performs an annual survival swim in Women's Bay October 19. All Coast Guard aircrews must go through the refresher training that teaches cold water survival techniques. The water is still pretty warm, trainees only had to brave 40 degree water. In late December and early January the water can be as cold as 28 degrees. US Coast Guard Photo by PA2 Keith Alholm.
