| Description | Looking southeast down the CBFZ, a pronounced lineament in northcentral Baffin Island. Ancient, all-beat-up Precambrian rocks comprise the higher ground along the left side and flat-lying Paleozoic limestone underlay the plains to the right. About 2 billion years of time are missing in between. Not much vegetation out there, what with reindeer moss + lichened boulders underfoot and sparsely-grassed plains yonder. |
