Description
English: A chief petty officer with 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion Chief Petty Officer Mess stands up in the shallow Del Mar Marina after treading water for five minutes, Aug. 19. The training evolution is part of induction training intended to build camaraderie and esprit-de-corps among chief petty officer selectees and chief petty officers. Induction is the third phase of a year-long training process first class petty officers are put through and signifies the rightful passage into the rank.
