Description
English: An Afghan worker empties dirt and rocks from a collapsed karez on Shindand Air Base in Herat province that provides water to a thousand families in a nearby village on March 7, 2010. Coalition forces hired workers from the village to provide work for the families in addition to the restoration of their water supply.
