Notes
  • Significance: Erected in 1913, the West Street Bridge is a significant and massive example of a steel Pratt through-truss, a type of structure that evolved as a common bridge design solution in the early twentieth century. The West Street Bridge is notable for its variable skew, and the combination of rolled steel girders in the bottom chord and the extensive use of built-up members in the vertical members and upper chord.
  • Survey number: HAER RI-46
  • Building/structure dates: 1913 Initial Construction
