Description
Svenska: Valtrappen är tillverkad i svart kläde, kantad med 60 mm breda guldgaloner.
På mitten av vardera sida sitter ett raktangulärt fält av mörkbrunt skinn från vilka det utgår läderremmar (längd 530 mm). Dessa har hål som sedan fästs samman med bukgjorden som är gul- och blå randig, tillverkad av linne.
På vardera "bakkappa" sitter det krönta Bernadottska märket, dvs för personalunionen Sverige-Norge, tillverkat av förgylld mässing? med detaljer av blå och röd emalj. Det norska lejonet har "bondeyxan", dvs efter 1844.
Vid manken sitter det en påsydd hälla, på den vänstra sidan sitter det en sydd öppning, antagligen för ett seldon etc.
Valtrappen är formsydd för att passa på hästens kropp, bland annat är det en sydd utbuktning för svansen.
Fodret består av tre delar på vardera sida. Fodret består av linne som delvis och främst längs med kanterna har förstärkts och behandlats med något material som sedan bildat en mörkbrun, vaxartad yta.
