Description
English: In a direct labeling strategy, labeling agents (for either MRI or radionuclide imaging) are introduced ex-vivo, stem cells are then transplanted to the tissue/organ of interest, and then non-invasive imaging is performed. SPIO: superparamagnetic iron oxide particles, 18F-FDG: 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose, 111InOx: 111Indium Oxine, PET: positron emission tomography, SPECT: single-photon emission computed tomography, MRI: magnetic resonance imaging.
