Notes
  • Significance: The base headquarters is the architectural focal point of the base as well as the administrative center. Located in the hub of the main base configuration of buildings, its elegant Spanish Eclectic architecture and formal landscaping were an impressive sight upon entering the base proper. This building is an example of the application of an important architectural trend (Spanish Colonial Revival) adapted to reflect California's Mission heritage in a departure from traditional military architecture.
