ไทย: ธงแสดงหน่วยที่เป็นส่วนกำลังรบ ตั้งแต่ระดับฝูงบินหรือกองพันขึ้นไป และธงแสดงหน่วยแยกอิสระที่เป็นส่วนกำลังรบ สร้างตามความบรรยายในพระราชบัญญัติธง พ.ศ. 2522 มาตรา 33 องค์ประกอบของภาพได้จากไฟล์ดังต่อไปนี้

ลักษณะของธงความบรรยายในพระราชบัญญัติธง พ.ศ.2522 มาตรา 33

ธงแสดงหน่วยทหารอากาศ มี

(๑) ธงแสดงหน่วยที่เป็นส่วนกำลังรบ ตั้งแต่ระดับฝูงบินหรือกองพันขึ้นไป มีลักษณะเป็นรูปสี่เหลี่ยมผืนผ้า กว้าง ๒ ส่วน ยาว ๓ ส่วน พื้นธงสีฟ้า ตรงกลางของผืนธงมีรูปเครื่องหมายกองทัพอากาศเป็นสีเหลือง และมีชื่อหน่วยทหารนั้น ๆ เป็นสีน้ำเงินดำเป็นแถวโค้งโอบใต้รูปเครื่องหมายกองทัพอากาศ

(๒) ธงแสดงหน่วยแยกอิสระที่เป็นส่วนกำลังรบ ตามที่กองทัพอากาศกำหนดมีลักษณะและสีอย่างเดียวกับธงแสดงหน่วยที่เป็นส่วนกำลังรบตั้งแต่ระดับฝูงบินหรือกองพันขึ้นไป
