  • English: Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), Two youts in (pseudo-)Ancient Roman dress in the garden of Gloeden's house in Posillipo (Naples). Catalogue number: 1076. Cm 17,2x12. This image was published as "Figure study" in * "The sketch", 13 feb 1895, p. 130. It also appears, mirrored, in the "special size" (in this case: 30,2x40,5 cm) catalogue, bearing number G 0226.
Date The shot dates from the Neapolitan period early 1890s (before 1898). The larger size is reproduced in Jonathan Turner, Baron Wilhelm von Gloeden (1856-1931), Martin Brown Fine art, Sydney 1999, p. 22, dated August 30 1909.
