Description
English: Sgt. Sam Domthongmivanh (right) commands Lance Cpl. Jacob Harper, both students with the Advanced Machine Gunner Course, Advanced Infantry Battalion-East, to fire the Mk-19 grenade launcher from the defilade position as a part of AMCG, aboard Camp Lejeune, N.C., April 30, 2015. Marines shot the Mk-19 from the mounted position and the unique defilade position. After two days of classroom work, the students received practical application of the defilade shoot, which no other AMCG receives. Marines shooting from the defilade are firing on a target with an obstacle between them, protecting them from enemy fire, similar to firing a mortar. (U.S. Marine Corps photo by Cpl.
