Summary[edit]
DescriptionHMM-364 ends mission aboard USS America, departs to Camp Pendleton 140905-M-HB658-049.jpg |
English: A CH-46 Sea Knight helicopter with Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 364 (HMM-364) takes off from the future amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6) to return to Camp Pendleton, Sept. 15, 2014. Four aircraft with HMM-364 recently completed Partnership of the Americas 14 and were embarked aboard America for transport back to San Diego. The flight from America to Camp Pendleton marked the end of the operational usage of the Sea Knights before retirement. America completed her maiden transit, "America Visits the Americas," that same morning. (U.S. Marine Corps Photo by Cpl. Donald Holbert/ Released) |
