Notes
  • Significance: Typical of houses built in great numbers right after the Great Fire of 1846. The Charles Wood House was built soon after the Great Fire of 1846 that destroyed all the buildings in this part of town. It is typical of many small Greek Revival houses built in the last decade of prosperity based on Nantucket's whaling industry. It was demolished in 1967.
