Description

English: Capt. Tom Disy, commanding officer of the guided-missile cruiser USS Cowpens (CG 63), passes through the side boys at the beginning of a hull swap ceremony as Cowpens is relieved by the guided-missile cruiser USS Antietam (CG 54) at Fleet Activities Yokosuka. Hull swaps, or ship rotations, are part of the Navy's long-term plan to routinely replace older ships with newer more capable ships.
