Summary[edit]

Description
English: Information board about the Age-old Oak (Uralteiche), a Pedunculate Oak (Quercus robur) at the Ivenacker Tiergarten in Ivenack, Landkreis Mecklenburgische Seenplatte, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. It is one of the very well known Ivenack Oaks (Ivenacker Eichen), which are listed natural monuments and among the most famous and important trees in Germany. In 2016 the Ivenack Oaks were designated as the first national natural monuments in Germany. The Uralteiche is about 1000 years old and with its trunk extent of 11 meters and 35,5 meters of height it has a timber volume of about 180 solid cubic meters. The dates are given on this board read as follows: trunk extent of 11,35 meters, 33,5 meters of height and a timber volume of about 140 solid cubic meters. Therefore this tree holds several records: It is the biggest Quercus robur in the world, the biggest Oak of Europe and Germany's largest creature.
