The house descended in the King and Murray families throughout the 19th century and was moved in 1923 to an adjacent site on Northern Boulevard (previously Broadway). Threatened by demolition again in 1964, the house was relocated by the Kingsland Preservation Committee in 1968 to Weeping Beech Park where it is presently administered as the headquarters of the Queens Historical Society.
