Summary[edit]

Description

This long exposure captures the start of the day as seen from the top of the Kilimanjaro. I was tired after hours of climbing and it was freezing cold.

I had to set up the camera for the light conditions and its electronic were responding very slowly. There was delay between the time I pressed the menu buttons and when the camera actually responded to the command. I was hoping that something inside the camera didn't stop working due to the low temperatures. My thermometer-barometer wrist watch actually stopped working which was not a good sign.

The two bright spots on the bottom-left of the picture are the headlamps of other two climbers.
