| Description | The Contemporary Art Museum opened in November 2001 and displays magnificent contemporary artworks that the Madrid Council has purchased since 1980. The walls of the Museum display over 200 works by 205 artists from different eras and artistic trends. The Public Art Museum is located under the flyover built in 1970 to join the streets of Juan Bravo and Eduardo Dato and accommodates 17 abstract sculptures designed by 17 Spanish artists. It is an open air museum in which the city, the inhabitants and art merge in one same space [esmadrid.com] |
