Description
Deutsch: Innenansicht der Karmeliterkirche im 2. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Leopoldstadt.
Eine ehemalige Klosterkirche, die 1639 erstmals geweiht wurde und seit 1783 die Funktion Pfarrkirche hl. Josef inne hat. Der Hochaltar wurde nach einem Entwurf von Jakob Schletterer errichtet. Das Altarbild mit dem Thema "Vision der heiligen Theresia" ist ein Werk von Martin Johann Schmidt aus dem Jahr 1771. Flankiert wird es von den von Jakob Schletterer geschaffenen Statuen (von links nach rechts): Heiliger Andreas Corsini, Prophet Elisäus, Prophet Elias und heiliger Cyrillus.
