Notes
  • Significance: The Morehead-Gano house was built in the early 1850s by J.T. Morehead as a 2 room single story log house. By 1858 it had been altered by the owner at that time, R.M. Gano, by adding a loft, weatherboard siding, and changes in the interior such as locations of windows and doors (alterations). Also, the rear shed rooms were probably added at that time. Other alterations took place over the years with 2 separate periods of relatively large change contributing to the visual appearance of the structure at the time that the restoration began...
