Description
Norsk bokmål: Hjemkomsten til Kristiania etter Nordpolekspedisjonen. Fridtjof Nansen og hans ekspedisjonsmedlemmer har nettopp forlatt båtene som har bragt dem i land på Honnørbryggen i Pipervika. Fridtjof Nansen går først, etterfulgt av Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup og resten av polfarerne. Det er reist en æresportal og pyntet med flagg, vimpler, girlandere, blomster og små grantrær. Flere fotografer er i virksomhet inne på det avsperrede området. Store menneskemengder er samlet, også på hustakene i nærheten.
English: The homecoming in Kristiania after the Arctic expedition. Fridtjof Nansen and the members of his expedition have just left the boats that brought them ashore to the Honnørbrygge («Pier of Honor») in Pipervika. Fridtjof Nansen is going first, followed by Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup and the rest of the arctic explorers. An honorary portal is erected and decorated with flags, pennants, garlands, flowers and small spruce trees. Several photographers are busy inside the closed-off area. Large crowds of people are gathered, even on the roof tops nearby.
Deutsch: Die Heimkehr nach Christiania nach der Nordpolexpedition. Fridtjof Nansen und seine Expeditionsteilnehmer haben soeben die Boote verlassen, die sie bei der Ehrenbrücke in Pipervika an Land gebracht hatten. Fridtjof Nansen geht zu vorderst, gefolgt von Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup und dem Rest der Polfahrern. Es ist ein Ehrenportal erstellt und mit Fahnen, Wimpeln, Girlanden und kleinen Tannenbäumen geschmückt. Mehrere Fotografen sind innerhalb der Absperrung am Werk. Grosse Menschenmengen sind versammelt, auch auf den Hausdächern in der Nähe.
Español: El retorno a Kristiania después de la expedición al Polo Norte. Fridtjof Nansen y sus expedicionarios acaban de salir de los barcos que los han llevado a Honnørbryggen en Pipervika. Fridtjof Nansen va al frente, seguido por Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup y el resto de los expedicionarios. Se ha levantado un portal de honor y decorado con banderas, banderines, guirlandas, flores y pequenos abetos . Varios fotógrafos desarollan sus actividades en la zona restringida. La multitud es enorme y cubre también los techos de la vecindad.
Nederlands: De thuiskomst in Christiania na de expeditie naar de Noordelijke Ijszee. Fridtjof Nansen en de deelnemers van zijn expeditie zijn net de boten uitgestapt die hen naar de Honnørbrygge (³Eerbrug²) in Pipervika brachten. Fridtjof Nansen loopt als eerst, na hem komen Otto Neumann Knoph Sverdrup en de andere poolreizigers. Een eerportaal is opgezet en versierd met vlaggen, wimpels, bloemenkransen en klein sparrehout. This is according to § 23 in the Norwegian Åndsverkloven.

Under the former photo law, protection ended 25 years after creation, provided that more than 15 years had passed since the photographer's death or the photographer is unknown. The image is in the public domain if the protection ended before 29 June 1995 under the older term.[1]
