English: Title: Old Boston. Beacon Hill from Mt. Vernon St., near the head of Hancock St

Abstract: Print shows many laborers digging into Beacon Hill, in Boston, Massachusetts, at the time (ca. 1811) when Beacon Hill was being reduced in size, with a view of the Beacon Hill eagle monument, designed by Charles Bulfinch, on Beacon Hill, and William Thurston's house in the background. Physical description: 1 print : color lithograph ; sheet 36.2 x 40.4 cm, on mount 36.9 x 41.6 cm.
