Summary[edit]

Description
English: Comparison of the 3D structure of DMT5 to that of the other DMTs in the distal 7/8th of the Strongylocentrotus flagellum (sea urchin). An animated 3D visualization shows isosurface renderings of the averaged 96-nm axonemal repeats and reveals that the structure of DMT5 is distinctly different from that of the other doublets. Note that the SUB5-6 (sea urchin bridge connecting DMTs 5 and 6) structure consists of two parts: the inner i-SUB5-6 (orange) and the outer o-SUB5-6 complex (green).
