DescriptionPost office Yonge Eglinton 1929.jpg |
English: The post office on the former site of Montgomery's Tavern in 1929. This building was constructed in 1883 by John Oulcott of Toronto, and served as Oulcott's Hotel (Eglinton House). In 1913, the federal government purchased the hotel and remodelled the old hotel as a post office for the North Toronto area. It was demolished in the 1930s to make way for a larger art deco postal station. |
