§22 (5) KFG 77: „An Omnibussen, die zur Verwendung im Bereich der Post- und Telegraphenverwaltung bestimmt sind, dürfen Vorrichtungen zum Abgeben von Warnzeichen mit der Tonfolge des Posthornes (a-fis-a-d) angebracht sein (…).“

Leider hat es – im Gegensatz zur Schweiz – in Österreich keinerlei Traditionsbewusstsein gegeben und die Fanfaren des Posthorns sind nur mehr äußerst selten bei Nostalgiebussen zu hören. Die Baujahre ab etwa 1970 kennen die Postbus-Fanfaren bedauerlicherweise wohl gar nicht mehr …
