YOKOSUKA, Japan (Sept. 5, 2013) Second class petty officers assigned to various commands at Fleet Activities Yokosuka take the Navy-wide petty officer 1st class advancement exam. The biannual exam tests Sailors on in-rate and basic professional military knowledge providing qualified Sailors the opportunity for advancement.
