Description
Deutsch: Südsüdostansicht der Matraswarte auf dem Gipfel des 893 m hohen Schöpfl und an der Gemeindegrenze der niederösterreichischen Gemeinden Brand-Laaben sowie Altenmarkt an der Triesting.
Die als Eisenkonstruktion ausgeführte 17 m hohe Aussichtswarte wurde vom Österreichischen Touristenklub errichtet und anlässlich des fünfzigjährigen Regierungsjubiläum des Kaisers 1898 feierlich als „Kaiser-Franz-Joseph-Warte“ eröffnet. Im Jahr 1932, anlässlich des 70. Geburtstages von Franz Eduard Matras, Präsident des Österreichischen Touristenklubs, wurde sie in Matraswarte umbenannt.
