Description
English: A shengsheng or xingxing (狌狌), "live-lively"[1] resembles a yu 禺 long-tailed ape but has white ears, according to Nan Shan Jiang ("Classic of Southern Mountains").[2][1] A copy of this picture is labeled "狌狌" in the Wang Chongqing edition of 1597 reprinted by Strassberg.[2]
