Nederlands: Soga no Jûrô Sukenari, gekleed in een kimono met als versiering een reusachtige vlinder, rechts zijn minnares Ôiso no Tora en links de minnares van zijn broer Soga no Gorô Tokimune, Kewaizaka no Shôshô. Beide dames hebben een gedichtenbrief (tanzaku) in de hand. Met één gedicht over de vrouwen: "De vlinder strijkt neer op de gouden bloemblaadjes van de bloem van Michinoku (Mutsu provincie), maar de Oosterse wind blaast haar weg."

English: Soga no Juro Sukenari, dressed in a kimono with a giant butterfly decorations, right mistress Oiso no Tora and left the mistress of his brother Soga no Goro Tokimune, Kewaizaka no Shosho. Both ladies have a poem letter (tanzaku) in hand. With a poem about the women: "The butterfly perches on the golden petals of the flower of Michinoku (Mutsu Province), but the Oriental wind blows her away."
