Description
English: 150225-N-FR671-158 PACIFIC OCEAN (Feb. 25, 2015) – Chief Aviation Boatswain’s Mate (Handling) Nnamdi Emonogu, a Nigeria native, plays the djembe, one of West Africa’s best known instruments, during a black history month ceremony held aboard amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). America is currently conducting maritime training operations off the coast of California. The ship is the first of its class and is optimized for Marine Corps aviation.
