Notes
  • Significance: The Lutz Woolen Factory is likely the oldest surviving woolen mill in southwestern Pennsylvania. Although much of the machinery has been removed (including two early carding machines, one of which is now at the Museum of American Textile History in North Andover, Massachusetts) and one wall of the mill has been destroyed in a flood, there are a number of machines in place and most of the building remains standing.
  • Survey number: HAER PA-354
  • Building/structure dates: 1805 Initial Construction
