Svenska: Fyra segelbåtar ligger i en vik eller i hamnområdet vid La Spezia i norra Italien. Tre av dem har blå flagg med lite rött i ena hörnet. Marmorblock ligger samlade i två partier vid vattnet. Till höger sitter fem män tillsammans med en häst och vagn. Centralt i målningen står två kvinnor och tvättar vid vattenkanten. Målningens bakgrund utgörs av ett bergslandskap utfört i bruna,blå och lila toner. Till vänster en dunge med lövträd. Målningen tillkom under konstnärens vistelse i Italien 1843-46.
