Deutsch: Das Wappen des Bezirks Landstraße vereint die Wappen jener Orte, aus denen der 3. Bezirk 1850 gebildet wurde.

Der vom Betrachter aus gesehen linke (heraldisch rechte) obere Wappenteil steht für den Bezirksteil Landstraße. Er zeigt den Heiligen Nikolaus im bischöflichen Ornat. Nikolaus war Patron des Frauenklosters Sankt Niklas. In der rechten Hand hält Nikolaus drei auf einem Buch liegende Kugeln. Diese Kugeln soll Nikolaus im 4. Jahrhundert der Tochter eines verarmten Edelmannes geschenkt haben.
Der rechte obere Wappenteil symbolisiert den Bezirksteil Erdberg. Die beiden Erdbeerblüten und die hängende, rote Erdbeere symbolisieren eine unrichtige Herleitung des Namens von Erdberg. Dieser rührt nicht von den Erdbeeren, sondern von einer Ertpurch (Befestigungsanlage) her.

Der untere Wappenteil steht schließlich für den Bezirksteil Weißgerber. Die beiden in Kampfposition stehenden, silbernen Böcke entstammen verschiedenen Zunftwappen der Gerber. Diese hatten sich wegen der Geruchsbelästigung außerhalb von Wien ansiedeln müssen.
