Description
Deutsch: Der Einfahrtsbereich des Orthopädischen Spitals Speising im 13. Wiener Bezirk Hietzing.
Ursprünglich ein von den Schulbrüdern von 1908 bis 1912 errichtete Waisenhausanstalt. Nach dem Anschluss an Deutschland wurde ihnen das Haus entzogen. Während des Krieges war es ein Reservelazarett für Nervenkranke und wurde schwer beschädigt. Danach wurde es zu einem Landeskrankenhaus für Niederösterreich ausgebaut. Nach dessen Verlegung nach Mödling übernahmen 1956 die „Steyler Missionsschwestern“ einen Teil (Ausnahme Kinderstation „Göteborghaus“, die erst 1969 nach Mödling übersiedelte) und zogen mit ihrem Orthopädischen Spital in der Gassergasse hierher. Seit 1999 gehört das Spital zur Vinzenz-Gruppe.
