Deutsch: Südwestansicht des Pavillons „Göteborg“ des Orthopädischen Spitals Speising im 13. Wiener Bezirk Hietzing.
Das Spital wurde ursprünglich von den Schulbrüdern von 1908 bis 1912 als Waisenhausanstalt errichtete. Während des Krieges war es ein Reservelazarett für Nervenkranke und wurde schwer beschädigt. Danach wurde es zu einem Landeskrankenhaus für Niederösterreich ausgebaut. Dabei wurde als Kinderstation das „Göteborghaus“ errichtet, von Schweden großteils finanziert und am 3. Juni 1949 eröffnet. Das eigentliche Spital siedelte bereits 1956 nach Mödling ab und es zogen die „Steyler Missionsschwestern“ ein, die ein Orthopädisches Spital betrieben. Die Kinderstation „Göteborghaus“ übersiedelte jedoch erst 1969 nach Mödling. Seit 1999 gehört das Spital zur Vinzenz-Gruppe. |
