Description
English: Onion-Fountain in historical Part of the Centre of Esslingen am Neckar; Legend: The “devil” gave the inhabitants of Esslingen the Name “Zwieblinger” (Onion) during he escaped out of Esslingen after he bit in an onion instead of an apple he had asked for.
Deutsch: Zwiebel-Brunnen im historischen Stadtkern von Esslingen am Neckar. Nimmt Bezug auf eine Sage. Danach wurde der Teufel aus Esslingen vertrieben indem er in eine Zwiebel biss anstelle eines Apfels, den er von einer Marktfrau verlangt hatte. Woraufhin die Esslinger vom Teufel den Namen „Zwieblinger“ erhielten.
