Wikidata Descriptions
Hello,
this template is doing splendidly in importing data from Wikidata, and gracefully integrating it with pre-existing information when some is present, huge thanks to the maintainers for this. I notice that the information from the Wikidata Descriptions is not used, though this is often where substantial free-text is given. Would there be a way to display it? Cheers! PS: Also, since the template takes "Discovery Date" (P575) into account, it would be nice also make use of "Discoverer" (P61) and "Discovery Place" (P189). Cheers! Rama (talk) 15:47, 11 March 2020 (UTC)
Object position wrong
@Jarekt: Could you please have a look at the object position of this template? I changed File:Rik Wouters - Häusliche Sorgen.jpg from {{Information}} to {{Art photo}} and created Häusliche Sorgen (Q90395101) for the sculpture. The object positon is set in Wikidata but shown on the file page as 0.00000, 0.00000. Thanks. 08:17, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
- I just check and I don't think that is an issue anymore. --Jarekt (talk) 03:48, 19 March 2022 (UTC)
More than one artist
I profiled a monument in Winnipeg, Canada today. Its a bronze and granite sculpture completed and put on display in 1961. There were two artists, a Roman Kowal and an Andrew Dragan. How do I include both in the Artist field for the Art photo template? https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Taras_Shevchenko_Monument_-_Winnipeg,_Manitoba.png . I created the Wikidata item for Roman because I found biographical information aout him, but not for Andrew. Jimj wpg (talk) 21:54, 11 May 2020 (UTC)
- The way you have is seems fine. If you want to improve it further I would create item for the sculpture. --Jarekt (talk) 00:28, 12 May 2020 (UTC)
