[edit] Landmark images
At this page I've been assembling a collection of important and potentially featurable images. Some just need an artifact cleanup, others need better captioning or a larger version downloaded. Feel free to pitch in!

[edit] A few highlights
Categories only tell half the story, so here are a few highlights from my contributions.
[edit] San Diego Wildfires of 2007
I'd had a Commons account for a year before this disaster. When I aided the relief effort this was obviously newsworthy so I documented some of the events to release under free license. Started contributing more regularly from then on.
[edit] Balboa Park Museums
Some of the exhibitions prohibit camera use so I've been limited in what I can upload.
The Mexican border village of Mata Ortiz has a fantastic local pottery tradition. Regional museums highlight some of it. A fine opportunity for collectors, I guess, because a lot of the best work is still affordable.
[edit] My crafts
I used to be shy about uploading these, but copyright considerations tipped the balance. A copyright attaches to original craft designs so I can place my own designs under any license. I wouldn't want to affect some professional artisan's livelihood.
[edit] National archives
Please add national archives links here. I'd like to create a central listing.
