Bay area meetup notifications

Can you start delivering the Bay Area meetup notifications to the en:WP:CAL and en:WP:SFBA project talk pages? I would have added them to the en:Wikipedia:Meetup/San Francisco/Invite list, but didn't want to screw the bot up. I'm trying to push to merge the bay area project upward into the cal project since they only have about 20 semi-active members each, and several overlapping members, hence the delivery to both projects. -Optigan13 (talk) 03:09, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

✓ Done I've done it this once. I'll evaluate it for next time. I'd like to avoid spamming projects randomly (yes, I realize they are the 'right' projects). So I put in a little note about signing up for the invite list. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 18:21, 1 November 2008 (UTC)
Thanks -Optigan13 (talk) 18:29, 1 November 2008 (UTC)

Be nice

Just a general note to please be nice to people, especially newcomers and especially established users (ie everyone). Your note here about civility comes of as hypocritical if you don't play by the same rules elsewhere. I fully understand the kind of situations where you get snippy, and I've done so on many occasions, and certainly will do so again. Nonetheless, I need to you make an effort. I'd suggest the notice above would be a good starting point.  — Mike.lifeguard | @en.wb 01:05, 2 November 2008 (UTC)

Removal o requests

I wonder why you removed those requests. --TcfkaPanairjdde (talk) 15:40, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Because they were old and crufty. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 23:39, 12 November 2008 (UTC)
They were old, but still valid. And "cruftiness" is not a property you are entitled to decide. Rb. --TcfkaPanairjdde (talk) 01:34, 13 November 2008 (UTC)
Ah. But I do, and cruftiness is more than a valid enough reason. Here's the short version, the list was huge and unwieldy. No one wanted to even bother checking the Request list because it was filled with hundreds of entries from several YEARS ago. I personally checked and many of those requests had been fulfilled. So the new generally rule of thumb is that anything older than 6 months gets tossed (and anything answered gets dumped after a month). This keeps things fresh and rolling over. If your request got dumped, feel free to add a new one. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 03:29, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Commons:Deletion requests/Image:Hms belfast london.jpg

I'm baffled why you closed Commons:Deletion requests/Image:Hms belfast london.jpg as "Delete" on the very day discussion opened, rather than waiting the usual 5-7 days, and then didn't even delete the image. What's going on? —Angr 16:38, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Don't know. I didn't touch that DR. I see that it got stamped somehow. I assume there was a glitch in the javascript. Oh well. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 17:52, 13 November 2008 (UTC)

Hope this funny thing doesn't happen in Commons!

Hope this doesn't happen here. That would be funny and bad... --Mr. Mario (talk) 02:05, 14 November 2008 (UTC)

Yea. I've heard about that before. Not sure why you'd mention it. --ShakataGaNai ^_^ 05:10, 14 November 2008 (UTC)
