British Isles

Great Britain, and several thousand smaller surrounding islands and islets form part of an archipelago off the northwest coast of continental Europe, in the northeastern Atlantic Ocean, which is most commonly known as the "the British Isles". However, this name is considered controversial by some and there is no single agreed definition.
